Here are a few questions that we sometimes hear from people who are considering a Young Living membership:
Q: Do I need to make a monthly purchase to be a member?
A: No. During the signup process, they will ask you several times if you’d like to set up a monthly order (called Essential Rewards). Although Essential Rewards has a lot of benefits for people who want to promote their health consistently, this is not required.
Q: Do I need to pay a membership fee every year?
A: No. To maintain your Young Living membership and discount, you simply need to place a 50PV (basically $50) order at least once every 12 months. (Note: it needs to be one order, not several smaller orders that total $50)
Q: Do I need to sell things in order to be a Young Living member?
A: No. Although many people we know make income by sharing about Young Living health options with their friends and family, this is not required. Most Young Living members simply purchase the products for their own use or for gifts.
Q: Why does Young Living ask for my social security number?
A: Young Living members can make “thank you” bonuses if they they share their member number with someone who then uses it to make a purchase. Because you have the potential to earn money, Young Living just needs your social security number for tax purposes.
