The celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ reminds us that through Him we have been resurrected to a new life. This is not just something we imagine or hope for but it is a reality. Now that we are risen with Christ, our citizenship is no longer in this world but we are citizens of His Kingdom. Our response to our worldly situations should be based on this Kingdom perspective. We are no longer bound by worldly, fleshly reactions to our problems but we now are equipped to handle hardships with the Character of Christ.
Do you believe that you have been risen with Christ? Then your actions will be based on the perspective of our new life in Christ. Colossians 3:1-4 tells us that Christ is now our life and our minds need to be set on His Kingdom and not on the earthly concerns. Are you experiencing feelings of rejection? Then set your mind on Christ — knowing that you are indeed risen with Him will give you a whole new outlook on the circumstance that caused those feelings. Someone offended you? Set your heart on your heavenly abode — Christ’s love will flow from you and touch the one that caused the offense. Burdened with fears and anxieties? Turn your eyes upon Jesus and be reminded that He has your back.
Living the reality that you are risen with Jesus Christ will affect the way you look at and react to every circumstance of your life on earth. He is indeed risen and He is alive in You!
